It’s hard to believe it, but just over a year from now your Bricket Wood Reunion 2014 will be in full swing! Many of you have contacted us to say how much you are looking forward to this opportunity to be reacquainted with old friends and meet new ones.
We’ve also heard from some of you who have sent your regrets saying that you simply can’t afford to make the trip next year.
Because we on the planning committee want to help make sure that everyone who wants to attend the reunion will be able to join us, here’s good news:
We have added a DONATIONS tab on our Bricket Wood Reunion 2014 website to enable those who can afford it to anonymously provide financial assistance to those who need it in order to attend. Here’s how it works:
If you would like to donate to help others attend, please contribute via the donation tab through the secure PayPal account already set up. All you need to do is log in: http://bricketwoodreunion.info and donate via credit card or through your PayPal account. Any amount is fine.
If you need assistance in order to attend, please email your name and contact information to donations [at] bricketwoodreunion [dot] info Your Reunion Committee will review all the requests and do our best to apportion funds made available through donations. Depending on requests versus donations received, we expect that we will be able to pay a share of the expenses for those who ask for assistance. We certainly won’t be able to pay for everything, but we will do what we can.
Again, if you would like to attend your Reunion but hesitate as it would put a financial burden on you and your family, please do not let that prevent you from considering the 2014 reunion. There is still time to sign up and to request assistance with expenses. It is not important how you get there, it is just that you get there, as we want everyone together for this momentous occasion.
And, for those of you who are planning to attend, and want to help others, please consider donating today! The more the merrier, as the saying goes!
